Print Operative

In our fast paced busy print room we have a vacancy for a print operative to help produce our branded lenses that we supply to the drinks dispense industry.

In order to succeed in the role you would need to have/be:-

  • A strong attention to detail for inspecting and checking all work that gets produced.
  • Physically fit as packing will be a part of your day to day role.
  • Comfortable sitting for periods of the day whilst applying materials to cast acrylic shapes.
  • Operating the print equipment to help produce our products.
  • A good team player with can do attitude.

This role offers genuine expansion into other areas in the print department for the right candidate, applicants that have worked in a print room before but would be at a distinct advantage.
We are offering £8.75 per hour 37 hours a week
Monday – Thursday 08.00-16.30
Friday 08.00-13.00

Porta celebrates Living Wage commitment

The Living Wage Foundation is pleased to announce that Porta, has today accredited as a Living Wage Employer.

Their Living Wage commitment will see everyone working at Porta, regardless of whether they are direct employees or third-party contracted staff; receive a minimum hourly wage of £8.75 in the UK or £10.20 in London. Both rates are significantly higher than the statutory minimum for over 25s of £7.50 per hour introduced in April 2017.

The real Living Wage is an hourly rate set independently and updated annually. The Living Wage is calculated according to the real costs of living.
